I refer to 'MAS rule unfair to seniors' [ST, 24Sept2011] (annexed bottom).
Firstly, it can be inferred that Mr Koh DOES NOT hold an existing credit card account with Maybank, which is what prevents Maybank from granting him unsecured credit on a credit card. Secondly, how can Mr Koh expect Maybank to grant him unsecured credit when he himself is unwilling to collateralize his "substantial unencumbered fixed deposits (FD)" to cover for whatever credit limit that he so demands.

An annual 'Cohesion dividend' for all Singaporeans

In regard of the new Singapore government foreigner levy increase/ bonanza just round the corner: 'Foreign worker levies to increase, says MOM' [CNA, 21Feb2011], my approximate calculations detailed in 'Singapore government- the new slave trader on the block' [HWZ, 22Feb2011] approximate the amount for collection to be $5,259,240,000.

Why not scrap this bureaucratic rigmarole an standardize the levy amongst all foreigners working here?

Singapore government plans $5.26B tax bonanza from new foreign worker levy rates.
...
Total foreign worker employment levies collected (new levy rates) = $1,651,680,000 (WP-cons) + $511,560,000 (WP FDW) + $2,587,620,000 (WP- svc+mfc) + $508,380,000 (S-pass)= $5,259,240,000.

Same calc, minus the FW levy rate increases.

Singapore government plans $5.26B tax bonanza from new foreign worker levy rates.

Collecting from the Singapore economy approx $5.26B in foreign worker levies, I think that the Singapore government is planning for a grand government revenue bonanza next year.

So what corporate taxes increases, will it bring down Income Taxes? 0.0 it doesn't work that way because corporate is corporate and income tax is income tax there is no link between both of them.Unless you are telling the government to make corporate pay more taxes so that the government will reduce income tax which is very unrealistic because they can just increase corporate taxes and income tax remain the same level.Which means a cut in your Pay
