Not for love of money, but of Humanity. "Greater is he who works for the good of all, then he who works for the good of himself only" ~ Matthew 25:40: "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"- (NIV). I live in Singapore where the Emperor must not be disturbed.

Floods in Singapore are karma for a land where the rich live at the expense of the poor.

Floods in Singapore are karma for a land where the rich live at the expense of the poor.

All these intense localised flooding is karma that Singaporeans deserve and is warning of future environmental disaster. https://youtu.be/lZem5-99Yfw

Singaporeans are small minded, impatient, mean and entitled people who e.g. treat cyclist badly, call them names like "didn't pay road tax", "poor people"; "stupid because so hot, how to cycle", "whole road is mine because I reserved it with my certificate of entitlement (COE) purchase", "it's the fault of bicycle food delivery riders for being poor (so they are disrespected on both road and foot paths)", "cycle because trying to commit suicide", "troublemakers", "nuisance", "Singapore should ban bicycle use altogether".

Actually, there is logic for more people to cycle around and it's mainly to promote health and a green environment.

And motorist are the most small minded, selfish and entitled people cos the wide expressways which they demand are both and environmental disaster and promote wealth inequality too.

At the expense of increasing ambient temperature significantly because black road surfaces emit significant heat in the afternoon sun, the rich have demanded a greater road network so they can move around fast. They don't care about the ambient temperature because they have white collar jobs and everywhere they travel to is air con. But both the environment and the poor suffer.

These both expansive and expensive road networks also inadvertently create floods since due to width, the entire surface is exposed and serves as a giant funnel which frequently overloads the drainage system and thus low lying areas frequently flood. These nasty rich people then expect everyone to pay for expensive underground water detention tanks https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/new-water-detention-tank-by-2025-to-prevent-flooding-in-jalan-besar although it is actually their selfish attitudes that caused this flooding to happen in the first place.

If the government had been more insightful and compassionate towards poor people, they would have built up the road network to include 50% of road space as bicycle lanes, Criss crossing green areas and the expressways either above or under the ground so that the land surface is 100% covered by green forest, which still allows significant area of bicycle track and foot paths, since these are more narrow pathways which don't impede any greenery growth. Since all these ground areas are also planted with forest and trees, the weather would be much cooler and more conducive for cycling around.

The MRT system can be expanded so that those who travel far or lazy to cycle can travel anywhere or when the rain is continuous making it difficult to cycle.

Car COE and taxes should be increased to at least 4 times the price now to significantly reduce the number of private cars and reckless PHV drivers so that private car travel attracts premium prices in proportion to the environmental damage and massive dis-amenities which inefficient private car transport causes in a compact town environment like Singapore now.

Instead of underground flood water detention tanks, vehicle expressways should be built underground instead so the black surfaces are not massive heat radiators in the midday sun, nor funnels to attract rain water.

The land should be egalitarian and inclusive to all people and the rich should not live at the expense of the poor.

If Singapore cannot be a model city of happy people, but a concrete jungle where slavery is practised, rich people rob the poor daily, flood water detention tanks rule the underground and unconnected pedestrian road crossings and the minority notional unsheltered bicycle highway occupies the space above ground (to satisfy UN climate change prevention goals), and rich people's housing areas are festooned with air conditioner units, then I think PAP leaders are just another failed banana republic of junta leaders and the future of this world is indeed done for.

Prime areas HDB sales in the Banana Republic of Singapore now.

Prime areas HDB sales in the Banana Republic of Singapore now.

Prime location HDB should have more electric PMD/ PMA park and charging points than there are electric car charging points built.

This is because the ever wayang-ing PAP, which is hell bent about having Prime areas HDB housing, so as to deceitfully adorn immigration pamphlets about the typical citizen lifestyle (in achieving the 10M population goal), and perhaps so that the rich can exploit the poor more (rich people need masses of poor people to quickly do food deliveries so they can have cheap breakfast in bed, no?).

So create complicated Prime HDB sales/ rentals procedure, just to invent more unnecessary problems for overpaid PAP cronies to solve, and thus more boondoggle jobs for Singaporeans to make money (perhaps from corrupt means too), then need to have more supervisors to inspect the ordinary supervisors as well.

HWZ calls PMD/A users low SES people: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/low-ses-activity-uncle-parked-his-pmd-along-common-corridor-neighbour-complains-fire-hazard.6636953/

YouTube of the quarrel: https://youtu.be/JeqwufjOOh4

Indeed, the PMD is a staple and necessity in HDB neighborhoods for food delivery work.

PAP indeed seems all obsessed with the pomp and ceremony of having public rental units in Prime Waterfront locations (maybe to house both their enemies and friends in different columns: enemies to be pacified with prime location housing, cronies for their loyalty to PAP rule?). Or as advertorial material for distribution worldwide to deceive citizenship recruits that this were the typical public housing in Singapore now?

Yet PAP will not sell the land at market price and will not impose inheritance taxes to increase government revenue, because PAP can run roughshod against citizen wishes and couldn't care less about the equitable distribution of wealth here.

And also create separate new programs unique to each ministry without coordination with others, inventing many new Potemkin and boondoggle jobs just to keep unemployment low, by solving old problems with bigger problems which seek new solutions through bigger problems created.

Meanwhile, those living in non-prime locations are hardest hit by public transportation fare increases which happen each year.

Singaporeans and new immigrants are so easily fooled. Just a few photos of HDB or rentals in prime locations is sufficient to fool them into thinking that prime location living is available to all; (in next life perhaps).

Singapore is just like China in the Mao Zedong era and N Korea, where the city areas are carefully manicured and developed for propaganda purposes, off the backs and at the expense of those in rural areas who have to suffer high public transportation prices, medishield-life insurance premiums, unreasonably high GST rates whilst most of the subsidies, funding and investment goes to the areas of political cronies (living as neighbors to the ruling politicians) living inside the city centre: so as to mislead others that life/ the development in Singapore is good (yes only if u have sold your soul to the political rulers in power and accept the role as a permanent political video/photo model to entertain the press and foreign dignitaries visits).

We do indeed have a banana republic government in Singapore now. No party can maintain a monopoly rule over a banana republic for long, before the society is convulsed by turmoil.

The authoritarian government and over paid appointed mayors could thus well take note to provide ample PMD/A parking and charging, so that PMD battery explosions do not happen indoors, so that their new propaganda prime HDB concept used to bait foreigners to accept Singapore citizenship doesn't become a tragic grave yard or crematorium when the whole building caches fire or due to the density of such devices deployed, many tragic deaths occur as a consequence of an electrical fire instead.

Is PAP government in cahoots with rich developers to freeload for own benifit and enjoyment?

Is PAP government in cahoots with rich developers to freeload for own benifit and enjoyment?

How is it possible (/allowed) for these developers to retain the freehold land titles and yet sell the property as lease hold to buyers in this most egregious example of greed by land owners? Why was the PAP government then so obsequious to the USA government in 1991 when they set the precedence, do USA property laws and practises henceforth also apply in Singapore too?

How is it that these private developers (not least the US government) can do as they please on Singapore soil and take full advantage of the loophole that capital gains and wealth attracts zero taxes in Singapore now?

So the wealthy are allowed to exploit this glaring loophole and freeload on expensive to run organs of state like police, judiciary, legislature, civil service, army and even  protection from Singapore's $100billion climate change flood mitigation plans etc for totally free, without even paying one cent on their capital gains?

Isn't it high time for the Singapore government to either withdraw all freehold titles (force conversion to lease hold titles) just like PAP post independence confiscated land (vacant/farm etc) to build factories and HDB flats (which they then sold at construction costs only) or else have a additional freehold property tax category, priced at 100% property tax surcharge (annual valuation based) but discounted to the 10year government bond yield rate.

E.g. to extend the FH status of a property annually in a year where 30Y government bond yields 3% , the owner of AV $60K property pays additional $3216 p.a. ($60k/1.03^99) to keep the freehold title (or else it would be immediately converted to lease hold 99 years after payment has lapsed for 1 year).

PAP government today really needs to study how these developers and tycoons can appropriate FH land value for their own selfish enjoyment whilst poor people have to face increased food prices due to climate change (due to irresponsible business practises if corporates) and also increase in regressive GST taxes.

PAP should stop being so obsequious toward rich people, even though many politicians may seek jobs in these corporates as a golden parachute when they find legislative/ public service work too stressful. Being a politician should be about serving the people, not about bootlicking the rich landlords and using parliament positions as a stepping stone towards highly paid directorship positions in these selfish and greedy property developer corporations -with massive FH land banks secretly increasing in capital value at the expense of tax payers/ the poor.

Rent seeking is really getting out of control in Singapore now.

"In 2009, real estate developer Far East Organisation made the rare move of selling the 408-unit Shore Residences on a 103-year lease. It acquired the site in the East Coast area from the collective sale of the former Rose Garden, a freehold development.

Thereafter, it started selling other leasehold properties carved out of the freehold sites it owns — such as the 119-unit Cabana at Yio Chu Kang in 2009, the 231-unit The Scotts Tower in the Orchard Road area in 2010, and the 62-unit Greenwood Mews in Bukit Timah in 2011."

PS: since there are approximately 3000 such FH sold as LH units, given the average AV of a condo as $22,200AV, and the current 30year government bond as yielding 1.872% p.a., property developer landlords should be paying approximately a total of $10.6M on this FH land title asset p.a..
