Not for love of money, but of Humanity. "Greater is he who works for the good of all, then he who works for the good of himself only" ~ Matthew 25:40: "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"- (NIV). I live in Singapore where the Emperor must not be disturbed.

In life, one can never be too dependent on blind loyalties.

In life, one can never be too dependent on blind loyalties.

it seems that politicians and soldiers got no loyalty
referrin to the upheaval in n.africa and middle east
at the first sign of troubles, politicians seek distance themselves from their leader.
armies suddenly turn the barrel against their commander.
did the politicians and generals forgotten about which is the pair of hands that have been feeding them and giving them the privilege? there's little incentive to feed these disloyal people! they are going to ditch you at the 1st sign of trouble
ultimately, they are juz going to serve the next pair of hands when it arrives...
it is really justified to create secret police force that are truly loyal to a leader rather than military or politics who flip flop between "leader and people" whenever it is most advantageous to them.
where are the armies that fight to the death even in a civil war or politicians who defend their cause till death ?!?!
When one uses stolen $$$ to earn the loyalty of others/ through oppression/ etc, one can never sleep too soundly in bed.

Re: Saddam Hussein and his ruthless rule: perhaps too many were in defiance of a mad man's ruthless rule?: Pls see: 'Saddam Torture' (warning, graphic images not for <18yrs): [YouTube, 19Feb2007]

Or in the case of Hitler's Germany. Would you sell your soul to your leader, the devil and do this?: 'Torture of Jewish people by Hitler': [YouTube, 29June2010].

Perspectives do change when the truth(s) are sooner or later leaked:
- 'Collateral Murder - Wikileaks - Iraq' [YouTube]:
Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on http://collateralmurder.com

Like all other stat boards, it receives a yearly grant from the government to run its programmes and cover operational costs. In FY2008, PA received $280 million from taxpayers, and another $23 million in “operating income”. It spent a total of $320 million last year.
However unlike most stat boards, whose chairmen are usually the permanent secretary of the parent ministry or some other senior civil servant, PA’s chairman is none other than the Prime Minister
