Not for love of money, but of Humanity. "Greater is he who works for the good of all, then he who works for the good of himself only" ~ Matthew 25:40: "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"- (NIV). I live in Singapore where the Emperor must not be disturbed.

Those who advocate closure of parks, banning of exercise are shortsighted people, who have missed the forest for the trees.

All medical evidence shows that those with sedentary lifestyle (and smoking) related chronic medical conditions like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, high cholesterol, heart and kidney problems, stroke/ dementia, cancer, are at the highest risk of severe complications/ mortality from COVID-19 infections which would use up precious ICU / ventilator beds.

PAP government neglegently omitted to consider that roads are a big cause of flooding because they are designed to quickly drain off surface water. This builds up into floods at low lying areas.

Sign to habituate people to IGNORE red lights is a very stupid LTA mistake.

Left turn on red is very ridiculous and dangerous to pedestrian and cyclist pathway users.
How can motorist and cars be encouraged to shoot a red light? Who is the crazy person at LTA who mooted this idea? This person should indeed be sacked/fired or be sentenced to walking or cycling to work for the next 10 years.

COE quota should remain stable, but ERP rates should increase 3 fold.

actually he got a point
coe is too expensive. erp and petrol is too cheap
tax the usage of cars on congested roads. why tax the car itself when some people use their cars more than other people
Re: "nonsense it's the number of COEs just halve it"

Partnering Bike rental companies in War Against Diabetes and MRT train breakdowns.
Tax bike rental companies $30/bike/annum to operate due to the fact that they incur public infrastructure costs for provision of dockless public rental bike parking bays and more frequently require PUB and police assistance etc for theft, flooding etc when the public, annoyed by them cause obstruction by dumping them in canals resulting in PUB anti-flood operations and canal maintenance costs.
24-hours bus-bicycle lanes are necessary for optimal road infrastructure use and a more livable Singapore.

Issues:
1) Sedentary lifestyle results in diabetes because lack of exercise results in reduced metabolism, caloric excess state and thus glucose overload state aka diabetes. Diabetes is associated with blindness, kidney dialysis, amputations, stroke, heart disease which will attract stratospheric medical and nursing care cost upwards of S$66billion p.a. by 2030. http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/elderly-health-costs-to-rise-tenfold-by-2030-report

Badly worded 'Road Traffic (Bicycles) Rules' endangers cyclist's lives.
Instead of "8. Every bicycle shall be ridden close to the left hand edge of the roadway and in such a manner as not to obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed."
Should be written as "8. Every slower moving vehicle shall be ridden close to the left hand edge of the roadway as safely possible to facilitate the safe and efficacious journeys of ALL road users"
Should be written as "8. Every slower moving vehicle shall be ridden close to the left hand edge of the roadway as safely possible to facilitate the safe and efficacious journeys of ALL road users"
LTA must emphasize KEEP LEFT rule for harmony to prevail on shared footpaths.
Keeping left is a form of courtesy to other shared footpath users as it facilitates smooth overtaking with less delay and unpleasant encounters. Overtaking PMDs also have to exercise good speed control, judgement and polite warning so that pedestrians do not get startled by either close by or sudden overtaking.

How Exercise trumps Medishield-life as key to good life.

- exercise will not drain your medisave unlike Medishield-life life and if everyone keeps fit, then waiting along corridors/ under tent for a proper hospital ward bed will never happen (except in case of disaster/ war).

Public transport congestion/gridlock: another cash cow for the Singapore government too?
Public transport congestion/gridlock: another cash cow for the Singapore government too?
- Money (taxes) collected from the opportunistic licensing of public and private transport, shouldn't it be returned in the form of infrastructure to encourage cycling or other forms of healthy, nonpolluting commute options e.g. walking etc?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that SBS/ TIBs (public) bus services probably have to pay COE, road tax and ERP whilst operating their respective public bus services, MRT also has to pay LTA royalties for the use of the MRT carriages and tracks, +/- physical infrastructure.

'Give Way to buses scheme'= senseless, draconian public policy?
Solution to long bus commuter times is more frequent bus services and bus lanes, not cart before horse 'Give Way to buses scheme'
Isn't it common sense that one easy way for a bus to exit a bus bay is for another to enter it?
A bus seeking to enter a bus bay would obviously block off all oncoming traffic so that the bus exiting it would then easily exit (where road dimensions do not permit the provision of bus lanes).
